As my body of work expanded, I realized I needed a centralized platform to showcase my design and music projects, introduce myself, and make it easy for potential collaborators or clients to get in touch. I couldn’t find an existing tool that balanced clean visual design with the flexibility and personality I wanted, so I decided to build my own.
I started by sketching wireframes by hand, then moved into Adobe XD to refine the layout and interactions. Drawing inspiration from the portfolios of industry professionals I admired, I focused on creating a site that felt both intentional and personal. To validate the structure and visual direction, I ran surveys and gathered feedback on the site’s architecture, content layout, and stylistic elements.
The creative breakthrough came while curating a Spotify playlist when I realized the site could reflect the same rhythm and flow as my creative process. With a clear vision in place, I partnered with a developer to bring the design to life. Over the course of three months, grantphillips.studio came together.
Though the site continues to evolve as I refine my skills and expand my portfolio, I’m proud to share a space that reflects who I am and how I work. Thanks for visiting, and pardon the occasional bug as I continue to improve the experience.
